Went for a walk today and came upon Z's home. Who knew we were neighbors?!

Sure there is. You see his front door, most would call it a culvert. You can see a stone path all the way to the road. He cleared that line of sight, and he has an elevated position too!

True story……I have hidden in a culvert pipe before. Crawled out and videoed the vehicle above me when they stopped to close the gate and get the physical evidence we needed for the case.

I had to ID the driver and get him on video so the assault team could take down the vehicle when they drove off.

Out golfing today and came upon this. I think he's stalking me - need to pay attention to shrubs.

I think I recall you telling me a story about camping under a big leaf pile for a bit...

It was a trash pile.

The trash covered my scent when the dogs came looking for me.
Old food, dirty diapers, burnt timbers. Down wind.
All saved me.

I stand corrected, I heard the story probably 20 years ago so I hope I’ll be forgiven since I’m old now.

Officer with one agency I know was running a detail, hid in a leaf and trash pile.

Things were okay until someone came out and pissed on the pile. He wasn't found out, and was luckily wearing rain gear, but had to stay there until dark.

breamfisher, oh dear... mine was much less dramatic, I'm afraid. I once ducked behind the compost heap at the allotment during a downpour, tbh to avoid a chap who wants to talk slugs for an hour, and it was definately warmer in there than expected. Nobody pee'd on it, mustn't grumble, but I smelt of it for a fortnight and Biscuit wouldnt leave me alone.
