I have a few different handguns that I rotate according to my activities, how I'm dressed for church, working on the property, running down to the grocery store,ect. Diver43 has brought a p365 to the ranch and I was hitting a 6" plate at 25yds pretty consistently with it and it's definitely on my short list but a friend brought a Glock s30 to the ranch that I shot a bit and I really liked it. I didn't shoot it all that well but I can correct that. I really like the .45acp and that thing weighs way less than my P12. This is the first Gloçk that has interested me and I want to make sure that there are no skeletons about that model.

I don’t like the G30 but I love the G36. You should handle one of them.

I have a .40 Shield that I shoot well and that kinda covers the 36. Your opinion was kinda what I was looking for so why don't you like the 30?

I HATE the sub compact Glocks. All of them. Finger grooves are in the wrong place. Just out of proportion to my sausage fingers.

Gen 3 19 or a 43, I’m down. Total fan boy.

The Glock double stack 10mm's and .45's are definitely some chunky monkeys for CCW applications.

Even the somewhat thinner 9mm G26 /.40 G27 package is a bit problematic - too fat for pocket carry (especially with a pocket holster to cover the triggerguard), and at the point it's on your belt, in a holster, with a cover shirt over it, you might as well be running any of a host of mid-to-full-size fighting guns with more rounds, light rails, red-dot-ready slides, etc...

Decent enough as a gun, but kind of a brick.

Not a fan of the grip thickness and my little finger hanging off the bottom for anything above a 9mm.

I was just recently given a G26 from the shoe store and I run it with a G19 Mag in it to extend the grip.

Which begs the question….why not just run a 19?

Have you ever shot a 43? They are awful, the last Glock that I would consider owning. I don't think I've ever shot a handgun with a worse trigger.

I own one.
The first run triggers are worse than a regular Glock trigger. By far. To the point you wonder if something is broken. The second ones are more “regular” poop Glock trigger. I bought a used first run model, and promptly swapped in the later disconnector.

I wasn't aware that they made improvements. A couple of years ago, a friend brought a G43 to the house because she thought there was something wrong with it. We took it back to the range and at 15 yds, she was hitting the ground about 5 feet in front of the target.(I don't think she was a very good shot to begin with) even when I shot it, it looked like I was patterning buckshot. I hated that gun. I have two friends that got rid of their G43's for that reason.

They went from an 8 + to a 5-ish pound.

Depends on which one. I ordered the 5 pound one. They make a 4. Speaking genuine Glock parts, not aftermarket. The skies the limit with those.
But I learned my lesson on on not a Glock build. Trigger parts stay genuine Glock. Period. Everyone else’s mileage will vary.

I ordered a Glock extension for my G26 mags. It helps keep it compact and allows a full grip.
