Some family range time this week.

Post by JunkCollector »

Thursday I had my work crew out.
They got drafted to set up tree stands.

It consisted of my neices son.
The one with the lever action in orange.
My nephew and his two boys.
Yeah I felt bad I didn't think to grab one that fit the youngest better.

Today I even got my oldest daughter out.
It's been awhile but I promised she'd have fun.

She did.

It's an uberti 1866 in 38 special.
I didn't even recognize the importer.

Turning out to be a fun gun.
Everyone liked it and it hit true

Daughter was taking head shots.

Thanks guys it was a good week for me the kids want to shoot and they want to hunt.
I'm kind of the gun guy in the family and hope they carry on.

It’s not gun guy these days
It’s multi-generational influence
Keep up the good work

I'd like to get some range time. But it's been miserably hot with the humidity in the 80s. I haven't fired my Winchester 43 yet or even my little Stevens .22. It will be some time before I get to the range.

Good to start them young. Here in England youngsters would rather mess around with cell phones than guns. I was on the range the other day sighting in my Drilling. Double 16 bore shotgun with a rifle barrel underneath. The lower barrel had been re-tubed from centre-fire to .22 rim-fire way back in 1954. It has a claw mounted scope. Very accurate and likes Remington sub-sonics best. I've now got a better Red Dot sight for my lever action Winchester 9422 so hope to get back to the range again soon to sort that out.

Kind of an addendum to this.
Both my daughter and the one in orange will be taking their LRC course at that range October 1st.

I'm pretty happy my daughter wanted to so much so told them both it's on me.

LOL, no typing in the AM until you have had 2 cups of coffee. Is she leaning towards a particular firearm yet?
