These are awesome inexpensive plinkers, and may work fine for game.
I can only vouch for the plinker status. Your mileage may cary. Etc etc.

I'm pretty intrigued by the round, but have mainly been held back by lack of suppressor access in CA. That said, the velocity threshold for the Blackout is happily right around the upper limits of what you can easily do with gas-checked cast bullets (a touch over 2000 fps), and does it with minimal case capacity.

For the last 7-8 years, I've been dinking around with a Martini Cadet rechambered to take a blown out .32-20 case. Kinda similar to the Blackout in a lot of respects. 150 grains of tumble-lubed cast on top of a case of slow pistol powder - it's one of the more giggle-inducing rifles in the safe. No question the Blackout gets you there with more "customer support".

If you arent going to suppress it, and just want to plink… 7.62x39 is still cheaper ammo-wise and has almost identical supersonic ballistics.
