Yep. That’s how i use it 98% of the time. I have my phone attached to the tripod and just view the phone while panning the rifle. Far more comfortable and WAY less eye strain than having my eye glued to the scope.

Last hog hunt BH and I did the temp dropped to 4 deg. We took Bh's tablet with us, set his rifle with its Infiray thermal on a tripod aimed at the hole in the boundary fence the pigs accessed the property through, then retired to the vehicle and sat and watched the tablet. Used the handheld thermal monocular out the window to check the surroundings periodically as backup. Beats sitting out in the cold freezing our asses off...............I bought a tablet the following day to use with the Pulsar.......

Thermal is amazing. Decent scopes have become affordable and good scopes aren’t out of reach.
These are all Bluetooth videos taken from my Pulsar Thermion 2 XP50 Pro that I took a screen shot on my phone. Various hunters using my rifle.

3 Legged yote my buddies dog killed outside his house. Young one that appears to have been shot low not too terribly long before the dog got hold of it.
