My youngest son Ryan and I headed to Jupiter FL for a couple days of shark diving. All told we did five dives. Just beautiful weather and even more beautiful under the seas. We saw dozens upon dozen of sharks. Lots of Lemons, Bull, Silky's, reef and Sandbar sharks. If you've ever watched the awful series Shark Week on Discovery (yeah it's really bad if you know sharks) or Nat Geo's Shark Fest. There is always one Lemon shark that gets featured each year. Her name is Snooty. She's world famous and known as the smiling shark. Her jaw is fixed open with her teeth out since birth. She graced us with her presence both days we dove. She's all about being in your face and space. She wants her nose rubbed as well as what's in the crate. Gentle as a lamb.

It's almost Goliath Grouper spawning season. They were in by the dozens on wrecks we dove.

No lingering Covid effects hampering your dives?

Great photos. In all my years diving, I only saw a few sharks other than nurse sharks. My wife came face to face with a family of Goliath grouper

Even setting aside the fact that I'm only slightly more buoyant than a lead ingot. . .

No.

Just no.

I'd sorta be willing to take my chances with wolves. . .or lions. . .or bears. . .but when you're so far out of your environment that you can't even breathe the same stuff the local predators do, I'm drawing a line.

I miss diving.

No lingering Covid effects hampering your dives?

All things considered I'm doing good. I get my lung function tested each year. It's stays steady at 80%, I lost 20% due to Covid. I spent a lot of time preparing to dive again, as well as two hyperbaric chamber sessions to see if my lungs and body could handle the pressure. They took me down to the equivalent of 58' on the first session an 92' on the second session. I did great! I've done 17 dives since coming back from Covid. No issues at all. My deepest dive was 120', though I'm really trying to stay in 40' to 80' depths moving forward. Shark diving has always been my passion!

All those shark pics show the sharks are smiling. Smiling because they know that you are a tasty snack.

I love sharks. Filleted, thinly sliced and breaded for frying. I also love diving… nowhere near sharks. To many close encounters when I was young and I’ve had my fill. But, great pictures
