Holster recommendation

I have a SS Ruger New Model Blackhawk in .45 Colt 4 5/8" barrel.
I have been looking for a holster for under $100.00
There are tons for the longer barrel lengths and several for hundreds of dollars. Ruger has one I like a lot, but it is on back order. Any suggestions?

eBay!!! Tons of El Paso, Classic Bianchis and others for under $100. My favorite for that type gun is either the El Paso Tom Threeperson type or Bianchi 1L (lined) or 1 (unlined) Lawman (make sure it’s marked Large SA), assuming your looking for field carry and not CC.

I like buying the used since I don’t mind a bit of character. Usually a quick rundown with some paste wax makes them look better that new in minutes.

Basically this is what you’d be looking for. Opening bid on this one is $19.95 and I can tell you how to fix everything that is “wrong” in 15 minutes.

The Bianchi B7 belt is the companion to it with ammo loops. Also a tone of those frequently on eBay.

No belt needed, just want it for walking around looking for hogs.
I forgot about eBay. Had a bad experience and haven't used it in ages.

I’ve bought well over 90% of my classic/cowboy leather on eBay. Lots of great deals.

I'll see what I can find.
You think that single action one would work ?
I actually have something I can try to find out.

Not to steer you from EBay, but, Ruger has an annual or semiannual sale on some of their holsters off their website and I have done good on those over the years, I have not seen an email in awhile though

I have been watching one I like a lot on Rugers sight, but it has been on back order for some time.can be used strong side or cross draw which I have never used but see the benefit if carrying a rifle also

For a while Bianchi/Ruger collaborated on a flap holster that is still the definitive (to me) flap holster for any Ruger SA gun out there, I call it the Bentley of flap holsters. Unfortunately many agree with me and examples of that holster keep going up in price on eBay to the point some like new one are going for insane $$$ and they are not getting any cheaper. I had one for the 4.5 BH but another member is really fond of those so a trade ensued and it’s now in a more appreciative home.

This is the one. This one is basically like new and opening bid is $169 which is really good for that model. The 4 5/8” does not come up as often as the longer barreled ones.

4 5/8 seems to either be super popular or a rare bird.
Flap would be good but the strong side/cross draw has me hoping. Just don't want to pay 169 for a holster that will rarely get used.

That’s a nice holster. It’s not $169 nice.
Holy poop I shouldn’t have gotten rid of my leather tools.

Actual Bianchi holsters are made by Frontier Gun Leather. They recently made me a beautiful OWB holster for my Legion 10mm.

If it is not a fashion statement a holster with a too long barrel space works just fine as long as the upper part fits.
