Range trip observations

After about a year and a half without popping a primer, I made it to the range. No pics, but I was good for 6 inch clusters at 15 yards. Not what I want, but given the time, I will take it.
Some observations.
1. I shot my 9mm better than I have in a while. Probably because it's always the last thing shot, when I am ready to go home.
2. 125 gr .38 Specials at standard velocity are pussycats in a Highway Patrolman. They also hit low when you have the sights adjusted for .357 magnum 158 gr LSWCs.
3. CPJ Jedi mind-tricked me into powder coating .45 ACP 200 gr LWSCs. No leading. Reliable. And, the recoil impulse is softer and less abrupt than my uncoated, but lubed LSWCs with an identical powder charge.
4. AR and AK pistols and SBRs are LOUD when they are fired on both sides of you. They reverberate off concrete ways badly. Got me punchy, quickly, while firing my rifles. If you don't have a can on them, I kinda wonder what the point is. I definitely wouldn't want to touch one off inside my house. I was debating getting one. Not anymore.
Hopefully I can go again in a few months.
