Just checked the stats for the Missouri opening weekend. For the past several seasons I’ve considered going to hunt wit some old friends. After seeing the numbers over 90,000 deer opening weekend and reading about CWD kinda glad I passed

Preliminary data from the Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC) shows deer hunters in Missouri harvested 90,334 deer during opening weekend of the November portion of firearms deer season Nov. 11 and 12.

I mostly get the concern over CWD, but what does the amount
harvested matter?

That means there were a lot of hunters in the woods. 90,000 of them at least more likely 3-4x that number. Some are educated, careful, and responsible some are not.
