Online load data

Post by N454casull »

Does anyone use any of the online reloading websites, like Load Data or XXL-Reloading?

I was doing a little searching for reloading data for the Savage .22 High Power when I came across then.

Only one I have used is Hogdons. Straight from the horses mouth so to speak.

Generally that’s what I do as well but they don’t have data for the 22 High Power

I've used Load Data in the past. Now I mainly use Quickload to get an idea od a starting load and go from there.
Hodgdon, Alliant from the powder makers. Plus Nosler, seirra and Hornady all have SOME loading data with their bullets. Hornady being the least helpful, since they want to sell you their manual

I use the ones available on manufacturer's pages, as others have mentioned.

I, like Jayhawker, used "Reloaders Nest" because it used a network of like minded shooters that shared their data in the real world. With real rifles not the test rifles used by the powder and bullet companies. As with any data, you have to treat it with the caveat that it might not work in your rifle. It exposed you to various combinations of powders and bullets in rifles that you would use.

By the way Jayhawker, Reloaders Nest is still available online at an archive site. It's just the data.
