Black Friday Purchase!
Black Friday Purchase!
First time I’ve been giddy on a gun related purchase in a couple years. Saved $300 on the blem stock.
Going to put it on my .243 Win that I use for varmints/pigs/deer.
Then, move the AICS to my .220 Swift to make it ARCA capable for daytime varmints. Removing the HS Precision from the Swift.
Kinda excited.
Kinda excited.

Re: Black Friday Purchase!
My dealer/builder/ffl/comp buddy has been trying to talk me into an MDT Comp Chassis that he runs for comps. But, this one is 1/3 the price and has basically the same features. I ain’t a comp shooter anymore and this will do what I need. Asked him his thoughts and he conceded that it will work for my needs.
I really like the 17” Forend! And of course the ARCA rail. And everything else.

No clue what I’m gonna do with it. I’m moving away from standard stocks for most of my common rifles and more to chassis or ARCA capable stocks.

That’s the full length 17” integral ARCA rail I mentioned.

Nice!
I know the technique for vertical grip bolt guns is to run them with your thumb on the right side of the stock, but thumbholes bug the poop out of me all the same - soooo. . .good call in my book. That thing is the spitting image of Anschutz's "Precise" stock that they've been installing on their top end (@ $6,000) Olympic rifles for a decade or more. Adjustable for damn near everything - probably even to compensate for different amounts of arch support in your shoes. Pretty slick.
Assuming it's the usual V-block anchor point for a round 700 receiver with no bedding required? Damn. . .I feel like I need to take my collected skill sets and move to Colonial Williamsburg to live with the other living history folks.
