CC class informative or story time?

Post by Japhy »

I have a balance at the local range.
I see a special on an upcoming CC class? I only occasionally carry and do not need a permit in AZ. Is this worthwhile?

I think it would be worth it just for the reciprocity. Unless, you don't travel much.

Even with Arizona's Constitutional Carry law.

Assuming the class is well run, yes. If anything you will gain better understanding of the various laws.

I would, however, heavily scrutinize any CC class that claims to teach tactics, etc.

I agree. I’ve audited dozens of them and the percentage of good instructors is LOW. CC classes are supposed to teach you the laws of your state, gun safety and some basic marksmanship and carry info. That’s it. I’d find anyone promising more than that with a substantial higher cost and investment of time highly suspect.

But to the OP, generally yes but go read google reviews on the facility and instructor.
