Has anybody gotten into the solar generator world much? I am thinking pretty hard at buying one with some panels and while the YouTube and websites are great, I’d like to hear if anybody here has played with them. Right now, I am looking into either Anker, Bluetti or EcoFlow with some panels. Any info or help would be awesome. I’d be hooking into my home backup system which I use with my inverter gas generator now when the power goes out but these solar generators really have me curious.

We bought an ecoflow. Charged it and the next power outage a few weeks later nothing. Would not take a charge after that. Don't know it they are all bad, but that one we got sucked hind end. 2k for a worthless piece of plastic. Returned it for a refund and still looking for it's replacement.

I have a small eco flow and a small 4patriots. Both of them take FOREVER to charge off solar. But they work great in power outages for running things like the CPAP, computers, etc…

I don’t think solar technology is at a point where i could consider it viable for home use. And, the price point is still steep to get enough.
On the other side, i know a guy in Alaska that pulled three Semi Alternators, made them into wind turbines, and was able to produce all the energy he needed.
