Well Sako and I hit the range today. It was a balmy 40 degree day with a 20 mph wind that was straight from the North Pole ice caps! Any way I shot the Glenfield 60 dads 39a, my 39a and a couple others. The wind was so that we didn’t even put up targets but had some steel set up at 25 yards and 100 yards. Fun hour!!! Cold hour! Good Mexican lunch.

Bleh. Not a fan of shooting in the cold. But Im getting ready to. My cousins place I have a 900 yard range. Only caveat is it is really only available when soybeans aren’t planted. And it’s only handy for set up and target checking before the field has been plowed. Driving across a plowed field is frowned upon.

Went to range today
It was low 60’s so it was indoors, high 70s, no wind
10yds with the Ruger MKII ..22
I had soothing music under the cans
It was somewhat like a yoga session.

I love .22 days

I'm the same about guns as I am riding my ducati. If I can't just go out and do it as I'm currently dressed, I don't want a part in it. Glad yall enjoyed yourselves though.

I love .22s.
I love cold.
I tolerate Mexican food.

I was a great but cold day, should have brought some shooting gloves. The model 60 turned out fantastic and as has been the case with every one I've ever shot, was quite accurate. Brought back memories of the first rifle I ever purchased myself. The only rifle I dragged out of the case was a Winchester 94/22 mag. Burned 50 rounds plinking steel and called it a day.

I love a good .22 day, you can't have ore fun with your clothes on! I need to plan a .22 day soon, but it is cold here in SW Pa. That model 60 came out great!

That 9422 was very nice!! I was almost a thief!

There is a little hole in the wall sharing a building with a tractor and implement dealer called Las Delicias. It started as a take out only lunch counter. Now it’s a full sit down loncheria….. oh it’s tasty. With menudo on the weekends and perfect tamales.

All of the Mexicans that have come here and opened mexican places might disagree with you

What’s got to be the worst is what these folks call Nachos, yellow liquid cheese that makes the chips soggy. What they call pico de gallo, salsa, and guacamole is a culinary travesty. Would you believe I'v seen Buffalo Chicken Nachos?

Oh that’s just not right!

There IS a lot of really bad Mexican food around. A lot of it in highly rated restaurants because most folks doing reviews in Yelp and Google wouldn’t know real Mexican food if it hit them in the face. Most of this stuff is indistinguishable from the crap that comes from cans, boxes and the freezer section in the supermarket.

We’re lucky to have some world class Mexican grocery stores within a few miles. The tortillas are packages fresh every morning and you can watch them make them. There’s also cuts of beef you just can’t get in a regular supermarket and their coarse ground “taco meat” makes the absolute best freaking chili.
