Anyone have experience with these? I have a pair of the Walker electronic muffs and love them and I'm wondering if these are as good?

Walkers makes great stuff! I own 3-4 pairs of their electronic muffs and I love them! They have never let me down so far for my personal use. I also use them as loaners for students so I don’t have to scream to be heard when giving range instructions.

Now, over a year ago I mostly switched to their ear buds because they are so darn comfortable for long term wearing. Doing a 4-6 hour class with over the ear muffs can be trying at best for me. I’ve been running the BT version of these as my primary hearing protection. They stay in the Jeep where I plug them into one of the USB ports and they are always ready for action. I had a set of their older ones with the button batteries and it seems every time I needed them I couldn’t find the batteries or the ones I had were now dead after just one wearing. That got old quick.

BTW they are great for hunting too, they greatly enhance your hearing

The BT feature, while not necessary, is quite handy so I can take calls from the wife and business associates while at the range. They pair rather nicely with my iPhone so I can also listen to music while I run-n-gun. I think they are also on sale for just a few $$s more.

That is accurate, so pretty much a new set of batteries every time you shoot. That got old quick for me. The only option is taking the batteries out of the unit which meant I could never find them again when I needed them.

Not because of function, but because I HATE wearing muffs, period. They do the thing, but I really can’t determine where sound is coming from. But I hate hunting with regular plugs, as I don’t want to have to shove them in my ear holes quickly, or wear them constantly.

Which is odd, because the regular walker muffs will last WEEKS while left ON.

They are made of the same type foam that disposable ear plugs are made off but I guess a more durable type. You roll them in your hands until they are warm and thin, shove them in your ears and let them expand. They seal in a few seconds. Have pretty small ear canals too and I’ve had no issues.

No electronics. But, I have trust issues. Not sure they would work as advertised. And would still have to cut out a lot of ambient sounds. Which defeats my purpose for hunting. I watched a few video reviews, and it was all marketing wank or “I think, I feel, it seems to” etc etc. no data.

I tried a custom molded set years ago and was not happy with them. They fit for a while but eventually got loose. I assume technology has improved over the years so those may be better.
It seems I procrastinated a bit to long, the Walkers are no longer in stock or on sale. So the Caldwells may get the nod if you like yours.

Totally talking out of my ass, but I’m not certain they would be great for all day range use. I’m skeptical of the db reduction rating. And seems like they may fall out of you are being active.

Yes. Small medium and large.
And two different tip types. Foam (their words not mine) and rubber. They say the foam are the only ones that are for shooting.
