Did a little cherry picking yesterday with the ever so persuasive enabler ElkCreek.
Browning model 53 in 32-20 Probably as close to unfired as you can get without being new in box.

As if that wasn't enough, this little jewel is coming home as well. Ruger Security Six .357 mag with the pretty rare 2.5" barrel. Also pretty pristine.

Both quite interesting, nice finds, any problems getting them from the car to the safe without detection

?

Elk creek let you get the 32-20 with those sights ?
He must have been broke.
Maybe just letting you pay for his enjoyment
Smooth move.

I did get lucky, he saw it first but had too many other irons in the fire currently. he was happy as long as one of us took it home!

That 53 was a tough rifle to hand over. Man I wanted to snag that!!! That said it’s going were it needs to go. As Sako said I have a few too many irons in the fire to keep stacking em up. I have to admit it is great to see sako get both of them! This way I can shoot them and not have to decide which kidney I can live without!
Well done Sako!

A wise man that ran a gunshop once said “you can’t have them all” while that 53 is stunting, and probably going to be very accurate, I have my Marlin 94 that I LOVE. I’m thrilled Sako found a treasure.

Thanks, definitely appreciate the assist

It was always my dads wish to have a carbine to go with his Colt 32-20 that he never fulfilled. I have the Colt, and now, the carbine! He would be happy to know that.

Thanks! I'm almost as excited about the Ruger as I am the Browning. They will be out of jail Thursday or Friday.

Out of jail and to the range. Shot very well for first time out. Prefers a faster rifle load over what I had loaded for my revolver. Too cold for real groups but banging steel at 100 yards was a lot of fun.
