When Joe and Jerm came down to hunt this week, I told them that once all the hunting was done, I was going to put them to work helping me build my new shooting bench. And they did.

I still need to add some shelves underneath and smooth the edges. Then, clean the metal and paint it. But, I couldn’t have done this much without their help.

Put a healthy radius on those corners. Your body will thank you.

It’ll be used from inside my barn or garage.
And I have rubber gym flooring that will rest on top as well.

I’ll round them a bit with the grinder as I’m dressing the edges.

My other bench at the ranch hasn’t killed me yet with the corners.

Sawzalls are for wimps.
Griddles are stupid.
Reloading is dumb.
Gloves are for pansies.
Predator hunting is stupid.

Joe did all the work while I supervised. He doesn't take direction well either.... He wouldn't wear the apron that I advised him to put on.

Sucker is a tank of a bench!! Solid as a rock, but still man portable…….with two or three people. 😁

Smoothed all the edges and tipped the corners
I’ll see what colors are optional. Don’t want dark on top so it doesn’t get as hot in the sun. Frame doesn’t matter as much.

I would weld a 1'' nut to the top of the leg adjusters. Then they could be adjusted with your cordless impact driver.........

Add work to the bench only to have to carry a tool that you don’t need because you can have the bench leveled in seconds with the T handles?

No.

I thought the same thing. But, it was a creative idea. I gave props.
But, I agree. And once in place at my barn, it’s easy to level and leave.
