Hornady lock and load system questions

My nephew wants to reload ammo, he bought a Hornaday progressive lock and load press. I need to talk to him about his equipment as I prefer a single stage press for beginners and load work up. If I have a Hornaday single stage Lock and load press, and I set a die, let's say for bullet seating depth, after locking it in place with its collar, can I just transfer this die to the progressive press and expect the same results?

I wouldn’t count on it being the same between two different presses. I wouldn’t count on it being the same between two of the same model of presses, let alone a single stage and progressive.
Then again…It may be, but it also may be a thin blonde one or a thick black mediterranean different. Certainly it warrants confirming.

Trust, but verify.

What caliber(s) is he going to load for? I had a Lock and Load vise a number of years ago but I've forgotten what little I knew about it. I use a Lee progressive, which may not be the most accurate set up in the shooting world, but it's good enough and very handy.

I would NOT expect Hornady to be able to maintain +/- 0.000" between 2 different presses.
Cutters wear. "Joe Blow" might work on that machine a couple of days a week And "Jack Mehoff" might work the other days

I have never tried it but I don't trust the bushings even in the same press with the same shell holder. Almost all of the time when I reinstall dies with the bushing they are right but I still check them. If you set them up on your press they might be close which might save time but I would be interested how close it is. I have not tried changing between the single and the progressive.

I went from a Hornady single to their progressive I just readjusted my dies between the bushing and the die that is way too many things to change things I would reset everything and I forgot about the shell holder
