We have a bunch of mulberry trees. Made jam out of them and I couldn't get the pectin to gel up to save my life.

Speaking of TSA, what a joke. Imagine how smooth brained you have to be to take a potential explosive (my effing bottled water) and throw it in the trash can that you'll stand next to for the rest of your shift, because ya know, it might be an explosive 🤷‍♂️

UC Berkeley did a weird study on the old forum. It shows some old members.

Re: Bullet Point Mounting Solutions - Review

Nice to have the tools and skills to get around shortcomings in our purchases. So why steel? Seems like most of the high end stuff I've seen commercially is made of aluminum and I have not really thought about it but I think steel seems to be generally more "slick" when machined as oppose...

Re: Bullet Point Mounting Solutions - Review

I bought a nice handlebar phone mount for my Ducati Monster. The pivot portion of it narrows down pretty thin and is made of plastic. It gave me the willies everytime I would go out riding and see my phone shaking around so I finally made a new pivot out of steel.

Re: So I’m not allowed to go out unsupervised anymore…

Nice jeep! It should definitely be able to handle whatever you throw it into, and do it in comfort. I'd be terrified to go out in the desert too far, alone. I watched too many episodes of "I shouldn't be alive." Great show btw. I'm sure they've changed since when I had to test drive some c...

Re: SA Heatseeker pistol

Walther uses a ball bearing QD setup to do a barrel change option of a rimfire straight pull rifle…. I've definitely never seen that before. Interesting way to hold the tenon into the reciever. The same way that works (like an air compressor fitting) is kinda what I have in mind for the bolt and lo...

Re: SA Heatseeker pistol

The hard part would be the locking lugs. The rest of it wouldn’t be horrible. Fussy, but not horrible. I’ve pondered it, but….thats a lot of PSI next to my handsome face. I’d prefer to not have the bolt exit through my head. I’ve done a .22 LR action, but that’s easy peasy as the “locking lug” is t...

Re: SA Heatseeker pistol

Oh, I've also thought of a simpler and probably stronger one piece solution. Its hard to explain but basically the bolt lugs would be protruding ball bearings that fall into a circular groove in the reciever to act as a lockup.

Re: One SEXY BFR

In my insomniac state last night I realized that I've never built a revolver, from scratch. So now I have to build one from scratch after I finish my pinfire rifle and I have to do it in something stupid like 45-70.

Dammit, this is always how it starts...

Its two. What looks like a middle barrel is where the pivot screw is. It fires one at a time.

Wasn't Micahel aquited on all charges? IMHO, its more likely that some kids mom saw him as an opportunity to make some quick cash. There's also alot of child stars that came out and said he was never inappropriate with them. FWIW, he was acquitted of all charges by unanimous jury decision. https://...
