Re: Iceland

If you are still there check out the Thai restaurant near downtown. It's a nice change from the local cuisine and really good Asian food.

If you really like him, a Dan Wesson would be a good choice.

I wanted to balance quiet with mobility.

This century? No.

As a teenager into early twenties it was a borderline hobby.

DIY deer feeder

We have a home in South GA that backs up to a large tract of land. I'm looking to feed the deer in a low profile, simple to build feeder. Any solid ideas / proven designs? I like the simplicity of the feeder below but might want something with some shelter since it can be pretty wet here. IMG_3522.j...

Nice looking rifle. I've been nothing but pleased with the Bergara stuff I've bought and/or handled.

Re: SA Heatseeker pistol

One of the milder 6mm offerings would be more interesting to me. But I understand why they went with .308 since they already have the rifle variant in.308.

SA Heatseeker pistol

Interesting, but I don't know that it's $2k interesting. Like most of the recent SA offerings it seems to be significantly over priced for what it is. After the new wears off there might be some deals to be had. I wish PSA would get on a project like this. https://www.guns.com/news/2026/04/19/new-sp...

Neat pistols. I had a couple similar that I ended up selling to a collector that had more use for them than I did.

Wouldn't say I watched it. Had it on in background and wondered why the American SB show was in Spanish without at least the courtesy of subtitles!

I have a .300 Whisper that I inherited. It has a beast of a suppressor that basically wraps over the barrel. Whisper quiet 240 gr subsonic rounds that are fun to shoot inside 200 yards.

Yeah, but you need to factor in the initial cost of the whole house genset. About $10k+ assuming you don't install yourself.

Re: Who all is in the path of this weekend's "Winter Storm?"

Can you have your generator connected to natural gas? That never goes out, runs out or gets old. Propane is another option. Yes. Mine runs on LP, but NG is the best option. Only downside is the bill when that sucker runs at 2-3 gallons per hour. Assuming my genset burns 2.5 gallons of LP per hour m...

Re: Who all is in the path of this weekend's "Winter Storm?"

Still have power. I’ve contacted a nearby company that sells and installs whole house generators. I’ve been thinking about it for awhile but this storm, plus my wife mentioned it Last week, has made me look in to it. My son and family live in an all electric house. They were here with their 3yo and...
