There are 4 pigs on that cart!!!

We saw, by groups:
X10
X10
X16
X3
X15
Pigs tonight.
The wind buggered us on one group. And then, there were just too many options of groups another time. Just had to pick the ones we could stalk.
Great first night!!

Sue the manufacturer! No explicit warning about using said knife on fleas, I see a small camper in your future Zee😂

The above pig was not dead yet. Not even slightly. Two busted knee caps.
Al Bundy jumps in his back and I gave the stabby slicey de gras.
Interesting time.

Three shots, three pigs. I was watching from a hundred yards away, it was cool to see and hear it.

WHACKTACULAR!

Looks like this cartridge took a 6 PPC and bumped the shoulder forward about an eighth of an inch?
WWJMBD?

I believe we should stand on Ceremony. . . while our friends handcuff the sanctimonious little prick and take him away.

It looks like its right between a 6PPC and 6 Grendel with location of the shoulder. Fancy new name and marketing sells rifles and ammunition.

Its like .270 WSM and 6.8 Western. Move the shoulder, give it a new name, use different twist rate, and change the throating for heavy for caliber high BC bullets and you have a new hot selling item. A guy I worked with talked a lot of poop about the .270 WSM and was all excited for his much better 6.8 Western. Something about 6.8mm bullets being so much better than .270 bullets.

Take a .350L, remove some taper to use a true .358" bullet, and give it a new name like .358 BuckDumper and you could probably sell more of those than .350L if you have fancy enough marketing.

All that said above and I will have a 6ARC some day to go. I have dies, bullets (100gr InterLock), and enough brass to start playing with it. Seeing the shoe salesman results just reinforces the idea of it more even though I dont really have a use for it personally.

The beauty of it is that it’s essentially a .243 Win in an AR15 sized package. Or a true .223 Win length bolt gun. (howa and cz)
Which for pig hunting at night? AR platform is superior to all others. There’s no disputing that. It’s certainly been doing the job on the pigs.
Will I have one? Meeeeeehhhhhhaaaaayyybe? I’m still pondering my next deer gun. Shooting from a tripod has ruined me. If I was in a place where I could shoot pigs at night at will? Hell yeah.

It will be interesting to see how far it can be safely pushed in an AR platform. I know the book load data has a fairly large difference between gas gun and bolt gun. Bolt gun data is just shy of .243 data and is rather impressive given the size difference. Not that .243 really costs that much more to reload per round, but in theory the 6ARC should be more economical to shoot for fun.
