Felt the need for another 22 mag rifle

Post by JunkCollector »

Mainly because I have a bunch of ammo bought cheaply eons ago.
This mossberg kd 640 came along to fill that spot.

I'm liking this gun it will do all I'll ever need from a 22 mag.
The cheap Tasco even tracked true.

I wouldn't call an old Tasco cheap. I had an old made in Japan 4x on my Mossberg when I was a kid. Worked as good as any other.

The Japanese Tascos are still widely used in some circles.
I still have BR shooters wanting the 32x target dot model I own

I use the 24x Target dot one, I also own, on my Lilja barreled AR. It tracks as true today as it did when I first bought it (used)

I think I shot that one, nothing but good things to say about that combo.

My brother gave me one of those for Christmas in 1973 and I still have it. A few years back I bought a Ruger Precision Rifle in .22mag and the Ruger has not out shot the old Mossberg yet.

I have exactly the same rifle❤️❤️❤️

It accounted for its share of Citites in Connecticut decades ago. Later on I bought the .22 LR companion (the 320?), also a fine firearm. Those old Mossbers ALL shoot great! And they came with pretty wood, real black walnut stocks too 👍🏻👍🏻

I gotta ask, share of what?

Nice rifle BTW, it looks right out of the box.

It was pretty well sighted in an inch or so high.
My guess is someone may have set it up to pop a few woodchuck.
I don't think it's had a box of ammo through it.

I knew it was a Mossberg before I read it. Mossbergs have a particular stock around the trigger guard. Probably a great shooter.
