Scam sites for components

Post by GrapeApe »

Realized I am running low on Ramshot TAC and while I couldn't sleep, decided to check around online to see if anyone had some in stock. Powder Valley does for ~$300 for an 8# jug. I also found a bunch of places showing it in-stock for only $239. Hmmm, added 1 to my cart and clicked checkout. They all ONLY take Venmo, Paypal, google pay etc, No contact information/addresses listed, do not take credit cards, just the cash apps that you can't get your money back from.

Not just "no" but "HELL NO"!!!
First time I've run into this type of scammer for reloading supplies. Figured I'd give a heads-up about them.

Won’t any of those payment processors help you with a fraudulent purchase? I don’t use those, wife uses PayPal for some stuff

From what I keep hearing on the news about other scammer, they keep saying that they do not. If you sent money through them, it's "gone"

ANY place that sells any firearms related products and accepts PayPal is almost assuredly not legit.

I wouldn't say that. Paypal is how I do most of my trading. PayPal "Friends and family" is a problem waiting to happen. I took a $225 loss. F&F means you're not protected. PayPal is solid if you use your head.

You’d be incorrect.
Because PayPal has a strict no guns policy. So if PayPal is accepted by a “gun website”, it’s a scam.

The post said: Firearms related products, not just guns. That's a lot to unpack. I recently bought a can of Ballistol and paid for it with PayPal.
