I can’t believe my little girl is going to be a mommy…. She’s in her second trimester and I stand I awe of this girl. She continues her aggressive schedule to become an airline pilot and is about to get her instructor training. Yeah barf bag is kept handy in the cockpit nowadays
Anyway, grandpa is already doing an inventory to see which guns are suitable for passing on to who. This is turning out to be one of the sweetest stages of my life and having moved closer to my kids was a hard but great move. I never really thought I’d get here, hell I was wondering how I’d do as a dad just a few months ago it feels. But lord this is a sweet phase in life and I wouldn’t give it up for all the gold in the world.
Now on to help build some more worthwhile Americans
Big congrats to your daughter and yourself by association I guess
I enjoyed being a dad but being a grandpa or "Pop" as I am called, is the most rewarding experience I can imagine! You, I'm sure will be great at it.
My collecting the last 5 years has almost entirely revolved around what will be handed down to the grandkids.
Congratulations to all, not every kid/grandkid is right handed, I have a couple cross dominant and a true lefty, not the worst problem, just had to buy more left handed guns

Congrats! I'm still envious of her getting her pilots license and taking it as far as she has.
She is crushing it! Hardcore desire to get it done. Will puke her guts out with morning sickness and head on out to the airport for training or to accumulate solo hours just about every day.
She promised I’m going to be her first person she takes out on a “Discovery Flight”. Basically a lesson that allows a newbie to actually fly a plane to find out if they are interested in pursuing a pilots license. Won’t be my first time flying a plane, I did about 3 hours on a Cessna 170 with a buddy where I did all the flying under his coaching. BUT, it will be my first time with my girl coaching ME!!!

A lot of my purchases in the last 10 years have been in preparation for passing down to the kids and grandkids too. My other granddaughter will be getting a nearly mint Ruger Mark 1 this fall Christmas as her first handgun, I have its exact twin waiting for this baby.

I got this from my kid shortly after she let me know... One of my favorite pictures in my life, framed.
We had just finished a loooooooong summer ride and I was letting my horse eat some grass and cool down behind my buddy’s barn. I drank about a 1/2 beer and decided to lay down and just started snoring. My wife took this shot. She said I didn’t move for about an hour and my horse just kept eating around me. The was 20 years and 70+ pounds ago.
