Range day, scattergun style.
Range day, scattergun style.
Sako and I had a fun range day with some scatterguns. I brought the 1887 Cimarron 12 ga, the 1897 Winchester 16 ga and the CZ bobwhite 20 ga. Sako brought some beauties that I’ll let him tell about. Well, it was hot! I bet it was at least 97 out there. Anyway we shot over 200 clay birds today. Sako shot 69 straight birds with 7 different shotguns! Simply amazing shooting. We had a ton of fun…. I do need to work with my 20 ga, I shoot others better but I like it.

Re: Range day, scattergun style.
Great day of shooting for sure. 200+ targets in a 2 hour time span, pretty much non stop giggles. Completely impressed with the 1897 16ga, I don't think ether one of us missed with it at all. the 1887 was a hoot as well. Shot much better than I anticipated. The CZ 20ga SxS well I get to say something I can rarely say in that I shot it better than Andy
I almost never out shoot him with anything!
Didn't get any pictures of my stable but it included a Browning Citori Ultra O/U 12ga, Browning Gold Hunter 12ga auto, Browning BPS 28ga, and an H&K FP-6 12ga Short HD style pump. Shot them all surprisingly well considering it's been a minute since we had a shotgun day.

The 1887 looks like a toy in my giant hands

I have an adequate supply of 28ga shells. They just aren't as dusty as yours areJunkCollector wrote: ↑Sat Aug 03, 2024 12:57 pm Good Shooting Tom

“Dusty” that’s a great name for the 16 gauge 97. I found it dusty and neglected. Put some new parts and love into it and it just simply dusts clay…..sakodude wrote: ↑Sat Aug 03, 2024 9:11 pmI have an adequate supply of 28ga shells.
