Yep! Scowiz was the one I’m thinking of.

I just did some quick checking on our numbers. From what I can see there are about 40 active members here.

I wonder what happened to the young man who was an active duty Marine assigned to embassy security in Georgia (the country)? I can't remember his screen name.
Ted Moore didn't "Fade away" The Marshall banned him because he and his sons pulled some shenanigans in a contest with a Lead Sled as a prize. He also had some health issues and I seem to remember hearing he'd passed away.

Someone else I wonder about is BigBoreShooter, Met up with him a few times, and even he and his wife once. He was diagnosed with cancer and I lost touch, even though he was semi "local" in the Birmingham (Chelsea) area. IIRC, he and Zee got together and did some hunting as well.

I also miss Bisley.

Buffy, Jerm, Bufford all come to mind. What was the guys name from Florida that organized the hog hunt. I think he was married to an emergency room nurse. He was always talking about power factor. Does he still post? I miss Sam as well for the same reasons CPJ mentioned. I would be happy to have Alpha back. He was smarter being wrong than many others are being right. Didn't he out shoot everybody at the southeast shoot with a borrowed rifle?

I remember BigBore and Zee shooting a deer with a .404 Jeffrey? and I think Ranch13 accus3d them of taking a Texas heart shot when they shot it head-on.

NYGunowner also went out with a blaze of glory, saying he wouldn't piss on a forum BenBob O'Brien was running if it was on fire.

And the archives will be restored soon!

Forgot about Eli, he posted some good stuff with his stipling. There was a couple of folks from the British Isles that were pretty entertaining.

Big Dans.

He bought me a brick of .22 for doing the impossible. Hitting a pop can on the first shot at 100 yards. 😬

He moved to Washington state I believe? Followed his wife out there then they got divorced.

BigDan is in Oregon. He posts on FB now and then. Alpha won the .223 shoot with a Savage stock rifle and Walmart ammo

Wasn't Tigman a UK guy? Also, Mike Shea was another old member that later came back but can't remember his screen name. I believe Mike banned him for something silly iirc.

When this was posted, I began to wonder. So I investigated just how many active members there were. I decided to try to define just what an "active" member was. What I found left me entirely confused.
First, there are 1,990 total members. That's quite a few. Only 80 some have ever posted. Also, from about Sept. 12, 2023 to the present, about 1910 people have signed up and not one that signed up has made a post. I know, this is useless information but, it begs the question. Why?
It makes me wonder how many idiots that own guns are out there.

I'm assuming that they signed up to a gun forum. I'm wondering for what purpose. If they have an agenda, this is a place to post it. I already know there is a lot of idiots that own guns. Take a ride in the country and see how many signs bullet holes in them.

The number of members, posters, and such sounds similar to the old forum. And most public forums in general.

CaliFFL is another one. It was nice to have another true Libertarian voice to help balance the Big Gov. conservatism.

The same was true when I was a teenager, but I didn't know a single person who had ever shot at road signs. We used to go rabbit hunting a couple of three times a week back then after school, and I purchased my tube fed, bolt action Remington .22 all on my own at a second hand store in town. Of course this was before 1968 when asshats again pushed their agenda...

Mkk41 hangs out in the 1911 Forum. Messaged with him not too long ago. Doing well but aging like the rest of us so he’s selling off some of his collection.

I think I have Caleb’s phone in my contacts. I need to catch up with him. His and Her are no longer a couple I believe. They hang in Facebook and he’s a member of the Refugees group.
I’d like to have Mkk41 back over here. The dude who banned him ain’t around, shouldn’t be any issues with him coming back.
Ask and ye shall receive! Tis I for whom thou seek!

Just got the invite From Wambli! Glad to see many of y'all are still alive & kicking.

Yeah, the hard life is catching up physically. Don't get to the range much. Been thinning the herd. Down below 100 pieces in the safes I think.

Still working making metal chips. Stil working on old Harleys and riding though not as much. Can't kick the old scoots anymore. Knees and ankles, arthritis, bone on bone, yada, yada, yada!

I'll be around!.
