can you give details on the ammo and performance?
.223 Rem
64gr Tactical Bonded (Trophy Bonded Bearclaw)
Broke onside shoulder and dropped the boar. Passed through the front of the chest and through offside shoulder. Lodged under hide on offside.
poop. Hogs are tougher than any 223.

Another night. Another pig.
Saw this big boy in the middle of a field about 400 yards away. Wind was wrong, so we flanked him to get the wind in our favor. Came around on him and were about 150yrds from him when the wind shifter and he nailed us. He took off and we’re set up. Following him on the tripods through our scopes. He stopped at about 250 yards and………without even discussing or counting (we’ve hunted together a butt load), we both shot milliseconds apart.
He was using a .22 CM w/ 75gr V-Max and I was using a .223 Rem w/ 64gr Tactical Bonded. He aimed for the offside neck (because he knows his bullet is soft) and I aimed for the offside shoulder (because we were trying to catch another bullet). Pig dropped. Got up. Plowed around a little. But, wasn’t going anywhere. I put another in his throat when we walked up to him. To avoid a wrestling match.
Both bullets performed as expected. It’s exceptionally nice hunting with someone you know and trust to think like you and shoot the same. We work well together. Pigs and yotes BEWARE! We are on a roll.

Nice ones, boars or sows? Hope you shot them close to the truck
Two sows full of not so future crop raiders.
Fortunately, we were able to drive up to them. Would have sucked otherwise. As we didn’t have my game cart with us.
