Rock Island Armory. .22lr

Post by Diver43 »

Was at a LGS the other day and they had a no tax day and meet Kyle Rittenhouse. I had checked out what I considered a good looking Stainless 9 shot revolver a while back and with enough rat money and no tax I got one. AL 22.1 imported by Armscor for RIA from the Czech Republic. 4" barreled K frame sized 22 ss revolver. Almost identical in size and weight to my Ruger Security Six .357 mag. Trigger is adjustable, out of the box 4 lbs SA and 10 lbs DA, even has an adjustable rear sight.
After shooting it today I am pleased with the purchase

Years ago I owned a Taurus blue .22 9 shot revolver with a 4” slim barrel. That little gun was a ton of fun and I took it everywhere I went outdoors. Don’t know why I got rid of it but it was a mistake.

Those Armscor revolvers made in the Czech Republic are supposed to be nice guns. I would have certainly picked that up as well.

Nice score!

475.00 including background check of 5.00
Shop owner said next order they will most likely be much more. 700.00 or more.

I don’t know if it’s worth $475, but I know for a fact it ain’t worth $700+

Wow! So much for the gun but, much more for your shooting! Great targets!

While I do not disagree, have you looked at the price of revolvers lately?

Thanks, It was a good day. I don't normally shoot that well, but a balanced .22 braced with my shoulder against the wall, it makes me look good.

Yep. A S&W equivalent is probably double that and certainly the new ones are NOT twice as nice…. At least they are quietly getting rid of the idiot ignition key.

Yes.

Yet…I’m not paying $700 for a no name import.

Yeah and that cylinder looks like a nicer fit to the frame than most USA guns I see nowadays.
