Red dot scope
Red dot scope
Looking for an inexpensive red dot scope for a battered Remington 76 rifle. I think it's a Model 76; it's like a nylon 66 but with a detachable mag. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Re: Red dot scope
Vortex has many options and a good warranty.

Re: Red dot scope
That’s about as cheap as I’d go.

But, for $20 you could get a vortex with a great warranty.

Re: Red dot scope
Thanks, for making me aware of a model I didn't even know existed. I did a quick search and came up with one on Gunbroker, it looks to be pretty thrashed, for $1000. Very ambitious on the price, but indicative of some expected value. I looked at the photos and couldn't see anything that looked like a detachable magazine. At least it gave me something to do at 6AM while drinking coffee.
Another thing I realized, if you're going to sell a gun on Gunbroker for $1000, you should learn to take better photos.

Yeah, I didn't mean to hijack Gene's thread. It was a little before 6AM when I read his post. All that got my attention was "Remington 76". So before the coffee got a hold of me, I searched the web. Very interesting rifle and rare!PFD45 wrote: ↑Fri Feb 21, 2025 3:36 pmNone of my red dot scopes have a detachable magazines, you'll be fine.jwv2023 wrote: ↑Fri Feb 21, 2025 3:12 pm Thanks, for making me aware of a model I didn't even know existed. Then you made your post and I started to research red dot scopes with detachable mags. Couldn't find anything on that.
