I like when it snows during deer season, then it **** off back to Canada or where ever it came from and spring summer and fall come back.

I don't like when it's below freezing for almost two months. The ground is frozen three feet deep and every day it gets to 40+ the top six inches melt. There is nowhere for the water to go. My normally solid gravel drive is a greasy mess.

I was really looking at some of those collapsible container size 'cabins'. Saw some that can be picked up for $6-8k. That would simplify the build, and I could cart one in myself on a trailer. But just having a shipping container carted in is an attractive option as well. Stronger, more secure, and I can build out the inside how I want.

First step is to get a reliable road built to the possible cabin site.

I have found that I can get a running and 'reliable' school bus for about the same price as I can get a container delivered to BFE. Same price, self propelled, smaller interior, but has windows, doors, AC, electric, and interior lights already set up.

weird thing to say, but I think I'm buying a school bus in the next few days. Just going to have to figure out the legalities of driving a school bus for 3 hours. Insurance, license plates, and... a class B driver's license.
