A few good binge worthy shows

Post by CPJ 2.0 »

American Primeval, which I believe is a western that’s been mentioned here before.

That dirty black bag. THATS a good one. Also a western.

Landman. I’m 6 out of 10 episodes in, it’s an excellent show. I’m gonna be pissed when it’s over and I have to wait for the next season.

We are certainly not suffering from a lack of good binge worthy TV nowadays. Landman is EXCELLENT as pretty much everything Taylor Sheridan does. I'm ready for season 2 already. Also looking forward to 1923 season 2 which will be coming out in a fe weeks I think. Lioness was pretty good too and they have a few seasons under their belt so they've had time to build their characters. I try to find shows that have a good action-drama mix so wife and I are both happy watching together.

The Day of the Jackal on Peacock.
Good characters, story and cool gun stuff.

I just watched all 3 seasons of "Derry Girls" for the second time.
So many great characters like Sister (George) Michael.
Funny as hell set against the unpleasantries in Ireland.

How about books? Anybody remember those?

I'm about 2/3 of the way through re-reading C.S. Forester's Horatio Hornblower series.

Sailing boats with great big guns. . .

Keeping Napoleon from taking over the world. . .

Learning that the appropriate response to a cheerful "Good morning, sir!" is 'GOD DAMN YOUR EYES!". . .

Hard to go wrong with any of that!
WWJMBD?

I believe we should stand on Ceremony. . . while our friends handcuff the sanctimonious little prick and take him away.

I'm currently reading "The Life of Johnny Reb". Published in 1942 written by Bell Irvin Wiley and is the life of the Confederate soldier. Next will be "The life of Billy Yank". Then "The Demon of Unrest" another civil war book. After that I'll probably read another book from my Foxfire series (14 books), Appalachian folk lore.
