"Sometimes I wonder whether the world is being run by smart people who are putting us on or by imbeciles who really mean it." - Samuel Clemens (aka Mark Twain)
It's ok, it's just the future, it won't hurt. Your same old .30_30 lever action will always be available . . . wait, I meant your same old flavors will come still come in a can.
I love those things. I try stuff I wouldn't have.
My main gripe is the flavor of the soda sucks compared to dedicated machines.
The second gripe is old people. Old people take FOR FRIGGIN EVER to figure it out.
Third gripe is people take FOR FRIGGIN EVER to decide what the hell they want.
I just want to get my drink and GTFO

Even between machines. There is a Taco Bell (circus early 2000's) in New Philadelphia Ohio that had the best Code Red. There is a BP gas station off I77 in Newcomerstown Ohio that had the best Orange Crush. Good enough to be remembered decades later.

Yes. Exactly. Getting a drink shouldn't be a G-D mental exercise.
And the single spigot is additionally frustrating in that the guy who wants to refill with Sprite has to wait for the guy filling up with Coke to vacate.
AND for the germ-a-phobics, nobody has to acutally TOUCH the old style dispensers, whereas with the touch-screens, you're exposing yourself to everyone else's nose pickings and butt- and ball-scratches.
My biggest gripe with "technology" isn't so much the technology - it's that so many of the people advancing it are trying to fix things that were never broken in the first place. Curing polio - good for you. "Improving" soda dispensers - go fudge yourself.
WWJMBD?
I believe we should stand on Ceremony. . . while our friends handcuff the sanctimonious little prick and take him away.
What happened to the put in a quarter, pull out a cold bottle of coke?
when finished put the bottle back in an empty rack, no plastic cup, no plastic lid, no plastic straw

It's true. It's a think tank where I regret my lifes decisions, relive embarrassing moments and ruminate on the bad.
Facts.
