New Franchi and some gear
New Franchi and some gear
Won a Turkish O\U in 28 ga. and traded it in on a new Lefty 3" Franchi Affinity 3 12ga. for Troll #3. Made in the Benelli factory and has the inertia action, my first Franchi. We will get it patterned and try it in a couple weeks when he gets home from school. $300 with the trade. Reeds had their annual sale and try before you buy event an hour from me so instead of driving 3 hours one way to pick it up or pay to have it shipped, I drove to the event to pick it up. Had to pre-order and prepay. Get to the event and had to pay $20 to park but you get a coupon for a round of clays at the place or $20 off a $200+ purchase at the store which can be "on the way" to deer camp if I alter my route, so whatever on parking. Figure out where the pick up guns are and get in a line, about 10 minutes to get to a sales register for non gun gear and ask if I am in the right line and they take me to the pickup table and give me the gun and the some info for staff to get me in front of one of 20 laptops and do my FFL required background check, do that and get sent to another line to check out once the background check is approved. Wait 1 1/2 hours. Minimal cell service so I can't bug Ernie or Zee about some scope pricing an Zeiss products without hitting retry 12 times on my texting. Another 15 minutes of them trying to process a payment for a gun I prepaid for over 4 weeks ago, no clue what was going on with this, but there was 150-200 folks waiting patiently with the same wait times and I did not want to be that guy in line, so they are getting an email today on this joke of a check out. Nobody was chatting is this large group, kind of stressful
. So get done and head over to the gear Benelli/Franchi rep and get my "free" hat
, finally can get to the Leupold booth and pick up a VX-Freedom in 3x9x40 with Duplex reticle, $239 out the door, get another free hat, a couple pens, and a lens cloth. Head over to the Danner booth to look and they had 800 g Thinsulate Pronghorns on sale for $169 out the door, hopefully son #4's feet will not get any bigger, got a Lacrosse can koozie. Get in another line to pay for the boots for 10-15 minutes and grabbed a $2 pair of shooting glasses to replace the scratched up pair I keep in the truck. Glad for the deals, but I wont be doing that again unless I get someone to join me.

Re: New Franchi and some gear
Too far away for me to want to make that trip

They did have a bar and food, some wild game, I did not try any, got to be too late.

Looks more reliable than that gun Tim Walz couldn't load.
Re: New Franchi and some gear
Yeah, he is from Iowa, and his cousins won't claim him, probably should not be handling a gun. He was out fishing in the MN fishing opener this weekend and the press had to pixalate the boat full of folks with the Trump banner in the background of his boat

Re: New Franchi and some gear
How do you pronounce Franchi? Fran-chie, or Franki. Nice guy.
Re: New Franchi and some gear
I always heard it Fron Key.
Re: New Franchi and some gear
That's how they pronounce it in the commercials

Chiro
The Franchi 41 12ga 26in IC is the best performing shotgun i have ever owned. Bring it up and it is exactly on target a superb fit. It never glitched in any weather and cycled faster than the auto5 while at least 1.5lbs lighter. THE goto for quail, pheasants, and teal.

Re: New Franchi and some gear
Is Franchi the gun company with the hot sisters as the owners?
Re: New Franchi and some gear
Kid should be home from college today, looking forward to taking it out, I tried to google Franchi ownership, I am reluctant to add in “ hot sisters” when googling

Re: New Franchi and some gear
Franchi remained a family business since its founding until 1987, when it was acquired by the industrial conglomerate Socimi, based in Milan; with the bankruptcy of Socimi in 1993, Franchi was acquired by Beretta Holding.
