I had one can in my cart and getting ready to check out until I saw the sub total. Hazmat is so stupid.

Brownels only came up to about $55 a can with Hazmat. Not too horrible. I caught Natchez with a "No Hazmat" if you buy $99 so I bought 3 cans and it worked out to about $40/can shipped so on average I think I did Ok.

Can't wait for the larger jugs to come out. If this works out as well as I think it will I'll order 5 of those and be set for a while.

Yep, those 9oz "pound sized" bottle too. It's a "fluffy" powder

Rest of my order came in from Natchez. Late shipping and I called them to make sure order was Ok. Guy said they are moving to a bigger warehouse and some orders are stuck but he was going to make sure my order went out that day and assured me they had it in inventory.

True to his word I saw the shipment go out on Fed-Ex about an hour later and it got here in only 2 days! I like those guys. Good company! They also sent me a bunch of the catalogs and I have to say they are good reference material! I hadn’t enjoyed leafing through a paper catalog for a long time and forgot how much I enjoyed it!

On a lighter note. My FedEx guy looks at me weird every time he delivers boxes marked this way… 🤣

My UPS guy calls me the bullet guy. He actually gets confused when it car parts that arrive. The funny thing is that I have more car parts arrive than reloading components.

When he delivers powder, does he walk differently too? Mine looks like a ballerina. He hands me the thingy to do my signature and I drop the box on the ground. I love to watch his flinch 😎

And yet, it’s not an explosive. It’s a propellant. Flammable. Not explosive.

Im fairly confident he has read the hazmat cards on the outside of the package and knows the powder isnt really explosive. Considering how some of the boxes have been when he brought them out of the truck, I assume he knows its fairly stable.

For shipping classifications its classed as an explosive. Most people that dont know better would also call it an explosive.

If it was UPS I’d say yes. Some of the FedEx drivers I’ve seen? Not sure reading is in their book of skills. 🤣

USPS isnt any better. Had to go to the post office to pick up my mail from the last week and a package that was supposed to be delivered yesterday. Apparently yesterday I told the carrier that I wanted them to hold it at the post office when they tried to deliver the package. Not sure how I could have possibly done that when I didnt talk to anyone, and why would I want a package held at the post office when they are trying to hand it to me at my house? FedEx has delivered the most poorly handled packages by far.

I get more nervous reading haz mat placards on semi truck trailers…. Some crazy stuff is rolling down the road with the great mass of clueless drivers.

Ever see what fluoride dripping on concrete does? Just working in the room with the storage tanks and pumps caused my tools to rust up in a couple days. Imagine driving down the road next to a tanker full of it. Also, chlorine is transported in kegs containing 2000 pounds of the stuff. Even if I was allowed to (never checked my badge access) enter the room with a whole bunch of the kegs, I have zero desire to go in there. Lots of other nasty chemicals in the process as well. It was funny to watch a guy start to freak out when the LOX truck was venting a little. He apparently didnt know it was LOX and though it was something that would melt his flesh if the cloud touched him.

Some of the most dangerous trucks don't require placards.
Think of everything Walmart sells, now think about one of their trucks with non-reportable quantities or a BUNCH of different chemicals. Now wreck that truck and mix all those chemicals together.

My USPS guy got in the habit of marking anything trackable that was coming to me on Fridays as “delivered” and going home early and then not delivering on at all on Saturdays so my crap would come in on Monday or Tuesday of the following week. I track EVERYTHING that I buy. And documented every instance of him doing this.

He did it one more time than my patience allowed. I went to the local central post office and showed them all my documentation and said it was all going to DC to the postmaster general if my crap was not delivered TODAY!!! I made them chase that prick all the way home on a Friday afternoon, the supervisor herself retrieved my packages from the vehicle at his house and personally delivered them after 5:00 on a Friday. Got a million apologies from a lot of people and he was “reassigned” to a REALLY poop area of town. My new girl is FLAWLESS!!!!!

My postal carrier was recently changed. It seems like every time we get a good one, they get swapped out after a month for someone that doesnt care. I think my current carrier was scolded yesterday. I was in the driveway next to my truck taking care of something when she brought yesterdays package by. She didnt even acknowledge me in the driveway and just tossed the box on the porch and walked away. Mind you, this box would have easily fit in the mailbox and didnt need to be tossed on the ground. No paper mail was left even though there should have been.

When I lived in NC our USPS guy was AMAZING! I can guarantee you every year he collected thousands of dollars in thank you cards from the residents. We loved him!!!
