BCG's for shooting

Post by Varmintmist »

As you all get older......... :) (Re grail gun thread)

Scopes only do so much. I was fighting being able to see well a lot over the last 12 months. Finally at Camp Perry I got fed up and got me some BCG's.

Cmp requires that you have both eyes covered with lenses so I got the left side and a blinder for it. Took the right holder to the eyeball doc and had my std script cut with a dummy in the left, might get a 1x -2x precut lens for the left so I can see stuff close.
First match I tried them on It was adjusting but seeing there is potential. Then I shot a 200yard walk and paste. Had to deliver a computer to my son and he was going to a match, sooooo I just happened to "need" to take him his stuff that day. I was 3h15m then shoot. targets were shaded and the sun was bright, still a 485 with coffee and hours on the road was acceptable. Yesterday I shot a 200yd on E targets 494-17x. Personal best. I had the 4th stage clean until shot 19 when I poked a 9, then I was pissed and poked another to end with 198 out of 200. Position melted or I looked at the score and my brain said YOU CAN CLEAN THIS. For reference the 10 ring is 3.79 inches and no, you cant see the rings. Just hold hard center.

Blink supplements and xdemvy.
You still need glasses where the focal point is centered in the place you are looking. Regular glasses is in the center, not the upper left corner. Progressives are even worse.
