Fri shot a 4 man team match with a pick up team and we did pretty well. I shot a 484. We were 1930 ish (?) We were the top service rifle team.
We were the only service rifle team but I am not letting that add negativity to the #1 spot
Sat was OK, 80 shot. Chucked a 7 standing, bleh. I had been playing with sight picture at 600 because I find it hard to drive the center sometimes. Reticle blends into the target. There were 2 relays with a spare so the person shooting next to me started putting her stuff back on so I asked if she was going again. She said she didnt want to let the only 3rd relay guy shoot alone and she wanted to do load testing. Brain went click. Walked over to the camper and got some stuff I had loaded for 600 at 15 thou off. I did a cranial rectotomy on the sight picture, and the rifle likes 15 thou off the lands.
Shot a 50 EIC the next day. Chucked another 7 standing right after I told me that I should but the rifle down and didnt. 600 yards was 10's and x's until at shot 16 I thought, "I am gonna clean this sumb" Then put a 9 at 3 oclock just out of the 10 for shot 17. 2 more 10s and finished with a 9.......
Good weekend. Son came down and shot above his classification into expert. Its 90% - 94.99% He needs another 110 shots above 90% to get the classification. Basically once you start showing competence you hit expert. The climb to master 95% - 97.99% gets harder, and high master feels like unobtainium. A consistent 98% over 240 shots.
