Re: Happy Father’s Day guys.
I’d be down for that. Being very honest and not rude, I don’t know how much free time I’ll have or when it might be. I’m hauling a freezer full of meat to my son from our hunting trip earlier this year. Pretty much drive 10 1/2 to 11 hours, check into my motel and dump my stuff off, then head to my son’s house to unload there and hang out with him. Thursday is the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner. Friday the wedding. Saturday go to a BBQ at his mothers house in Johnstown. That part I’d rather skip, but I told my son I’d go… Leaving early Sunday morning back home. Also going to have my mom and stepdad, sister and her husband and her oldest son and his wife there.
Pretty much, if I have free time while I’m there, I don’t know when it will be enough to schedule a meet up with you guys. Just not sure when my free time will be at this point. Maybe Saturday morning would be my only guess at this point.

Well, no worries. Seems you have a full plate as it is.
Enjoy the wedding and family time. If you up this way again, let us know.

Why would he hang out and do fun stuff when he can eat lunch with his ex wife?Elk Creek wrote: ↑Thu Jun 25, 2026 12:08 amWell dang too bad we couldn’t kidnap you for a range session and lunch! Re: Happy Father’s Day guys.
We didn't get a pic of the mystery shooter
But your right, it didn't suck
Well, our shooting left something to be desired but it was fun anyway.
Re: Happy Father’s Day guys.
Looks like fun. My apologies guys. It was as I expected. 11 hour drive up there, dropped off a bunch of stuff at my sons house and hung out that evening, then running around getting everything ready for the rehearsal and wedding Thursday. Busy all day Friday getting ready for the wedding that evening. Saturday had breakfast with the family, did some running around and went to my ex’s house that afternoon. I ended up staying one extra day and stayed at my sons house Sunday night. We went to Greeley Sunday afternoon, where I bought him a new gun safe. The one he had was small and full, so he had several guns that wouldn’t fit in the safe. He’s got room for all of them plus room to grow now. After we did that, he made some BBQ chicken on the smoker and had a couple friends over for dinner. I left there early yesterday morning.
I believe my son goes to that range sometimes. He’s talked about a range nearby. He lives in Ault.

We shot at Great Guns in Nunn, just right up the road from Ault. Tom and I have a membership at Northern Colorado Rod and Gun club, it’s a great range.
