Re: Beretta Micro
I think I may have shot one (two shots) during an evidence gun brass collection day. . .maybe. Didn't make much of am impression if I did. Unfortunately, I'm somewhat hampered by the California handgun roster in terms of being able to sample new stuff. Officers are exempt, but if none of them are buying, it's going to be evidence or a chance fondle at a shop that deals in LE gear. The various Glocks, Sig 365 series, and Hellcats seem to be the flavors of the month. I grope quite a few M&P Shields during civilian CCW inspections since they're one of the few on-roster guns in that general size class.
Glock needs to do a red-dot ready version of the single stack G43. Somewhat remarkable that they haven't, considering it's got EXACTLY the same slide as the 43X, without the "X" milled on the slide. It would almost be worth buying both to Lego that option together.

Having watched most of your video, I think Zee's "Matrix pill post" pretty well sums it up - pick your own reality. Since most of us aren't Neo, we won't be able to tell one reality from the next. In other words, just another plastic, striker-fired, compact pistol.
I will say though, it was painful watching the "sponge" on it's trigger in the video. At least most of the others give you a discernable wall at the end of the first stage.

Re: Beretta Micro
Correct, I wonder if that improves with break in?

Re: Beretta Micro
Again, $179. That’s less than half the cost of a 43 for a Beretta. Kinda tough to find a barrier to entry…
Re: Beretta Micro
The Beretta full size polymer stuff has been selling at surprisingly low prices also. I've intentionally not researched them as I DON'T NEED ANOTHER PISTOL.

I thought the California handgun roster got put in the trash bin by a District Court decision?
Re: Beretta Micro
I’m married to Glock.
Just got another one yesterday from the Shoe Store for after hours carry.
If it ain’t Glock…….I’m probably not exceptionally interested. Because, well……magazines like the swallows of Capistrano.

Chris, I don't know why this popped in my head, and I know that you have a cnc now, but I remember years ago on the old forum you said that you would lose zero on your manual mill because it's a column type. I was wondering if you could place 2 indicators on it to find zero again after moving it? Of course this is an afterthought and not having seen your mill.
Re: Beretta Micro
You could, I suppose. The best way to do it is to never buy a round column mill because they are evil.Justsomedude wrote: ↑Sun Aug 06, 2023 3:14 amChris, I don't know why this popped in my head, and I know that you have a cnc now, but I remember years ago on the old forum you said that you would lose zero on your manual mill because it's a column type. IF you are careful and use screw machine length drills and use an ER collet to hold both drills and end mills, AND plan your cuts, you can get away with not having to raise the head and lose zero. The rub lies when you are using an end mill, then need to swap in a drill Chuck. You have no choice but to raise it. Hence the collets.

Re: Beretta Micro
He got it in just a couple days ago. Has not shot it yet, but likes the “feel” of it, and says the trigger is just “ok”, and hopes it gets better with break-in.
Said it’s “beretta solid” but can’t really comment more on it till he actually gets to run some rounds through it.

Good deal, thanks.
Prices went up BTW, cheapest one is $199 after the rebate, green frame, the rest are considerably more expensive.
