More like partridge
I like the picture also.
Re: Red Grouse.
Nice. I’ve never shot a grouse.

Re: Red Grouse.
They taste like neither but are a dark Gamey meat. I took the photo when in North Yorkshire as the road runs through the moorland and they can sometimes be spotted close to the roads there. I posted the picture just to get the hang of picture posting.
Any requests for pictures of British game species and I'll see what I have in my archive now I have it figured out thanks to the assistance on posting.

I like dark gamy meat birds. I prefer thighs off wild turkeys and I love Guinea hen meat.
Re: Red Grouse.
You going dove shooting this year? I'm not sure I want to know how many dozens of doves I've wrapped in bacon and baked, yum.Wambli Ska wrote: ↑Wed Aug 30, 2023 3:59 pm I like dark gamy meat birds. I prefer thighs off wild turkeys and I love Guinea hen meat.
When I was doing it a lot, we were sitting on a tailgate drinking beer so I stopped calling it hunting.

Ha! I get it. I just got back in my house here in Flagstaff about a week ago after an 11 year "walk about".
Haven't even looked for the DMV yet.

It’s like every time I show up they feed me another tidbit of information about what I need that their website does not mention and they never told me before in my previous visits…. They are however lovely and friendly, just not very well organized. I did get my DL though so I’m legit to buy guns and licenses.

A greenfield BIG region with looser gun laws. Called a lawyer to ask what I need to bring to a private sale and he said “cash”.Chiro1989 wrote: ↑Thu Aug 31, 2023 7:30 pmsaid no "downsizer" ever......Wambli Ska wrote: ↑Thu Aug 31, 2023 4:59 pmIt’s like every time I show up they feed me another tidbit of information about what I need that their website does not mention and they never told me before in my previous visits…. You need to go hunt for something to eat first, no more guns, no more planning, we want Science!

Let’s see what we can do…

This. You have a useless collection…….if you don’t USE them!!

Re: Red Grouse.
Yeah, I know. That’s why I need to thin the herd. Just don’t have a practical way of doing it since my LGS won’t take used guns currently.
Besides, I’m too busy taking you Yahoos hunting to actually do any hunting myself!!

Mighty shaky soapbox you have perched yourself on. You have rifles that you haven’t shot in how long???
Re: Red Grouse.
I might resemble that statement, but, I have venison and wild pig in the freezer
