Talking trailers/campers
Anyone ever own a pop-up camper. I’m thinking that is more my speed and niche of need.
If I’m gonna buy one used, what are some questions I need to ask? And things I need to look for..

The only thing I know about pop-ups is that they leak. At least that’s the “common knowledge” about them.

Mike don’t.
Yet.
But when I built it, I took great care in NOT putting holes in the roof. And the only thing that can get wet and rot would be the paneling. The rest is rot proof. Either steel or plastic.

We had a pop-up for a few years...making sure your canvas is completely dry before putting it away is probably the most important thing...and replacing rotted canvas can get sort of pricey.
The other thing is doing wheel bearings...every year whether you have bearing buddies or not...
We're I to buy another trailer, it would be one of those little tow-behind teardrop bedrooms with the fold out kitchen in the back...Just don't need all the amenities anymore...
Just find a place to park..level it and go to bed

Some of those cost more than a regular size camper.Jayhawker wrote: ↑Tue Aug 29, 2023 6:17 pm We had a pop-up for a few years...making sure your canvas is completely dry before putting it away is probably the most important thing...and replacing rotted canvas can get sort of pricey.

I would get a smaller bumper pull. I want three things. Good bed, decent shower, and my own poop.

I'm quite sure you took far more care than the average RV builder...
Main places they leak are actually the corner seams, esp. the front overhang area of Class C motorhomes, fifth-wheels, and cab over campers.
