Primary Arms SLXHunter scopes

Post by GrapeApe »

Anyone have one? They have their 4-12x40mm and 3-9x50mm on clearance for $99.
Supposedly, normally $229 and $249 respectively.
I ordered one of the 4-12s for an emergency spare.

Anyone used or even looked through one?

This has me curious as to who actually produces them for PA?
Designed and built by one of America’s leading optics manufacturers, the Primary Arms Optics SLx HUNTER series combines high-quality materials and machining at an unbeatable value.
Edited to add:
Well, it appears the Slx line is made in china, so my expectations aren't as high now.

Primary Arms seems to make pretty good optics at their price point, comparable or better than similar optics from other brands in the same price range and countries of origin. They seem to have a good pulse on the market for what shooters look for in their various optics. For serious use I still prefer more tried and true brands like Leupold, but they have their place.

I have a SLX 1X prism that I like a lot for the money, and I am a HUGE fan of the Vulcan reticle for 5.56. I will likely get another SLX 1X with the 9mm specific reticle for my Ruger PC Carbine to replace the Holosun on there, as my astigmatism is getting worse as I age. I'm still not looking to replace, for example, the RMR on my carry gun with whatever Primary Arms' equivalent is (astigmatism doesn't seem as bad on the pistol mounted optics, basically turns a 1-3 MOA to a 6ish MOA dot).

Yep! I have one on my PSA KS-47. I am really impressed with it for the price point.

The glass is very clear and no distortions. For a $100 scope, it is a pretty good buy

I hadn't realized that;s what you'd put on it.
Thanks
