25-35 Sharps

Made it to the range today with the new Sharps and loved it. A pleasure to shoot. Only drawback was the front sight blade was so thin my old eyes lost it against dark targets. 100 yard steel was in grave danger though.
As soon as I find proper screws a Lyman #2 tang sight will be mounted along with a spirit level front globe sight.

NEEEEEEEAT!

Maybe just a basic 17A on the front? Seems appropriate for a sporting rig like that.

Recoil? Even perceptible?
WWJMBD?

I believe we should stand on Ceremony. . . while our friends handcuff the sanctimonious little prick and take him away.

I was going to use a spirit level I had but turns out C.Sharps does not use a 3/8ths dovetail so it doesn't fit. So I'll be ordering one from Sharps that is basically a 17A without the replaceable reticles.
As for recoil, not perceptible at all.

Thank you, it was stupid fun. Big thwaap on steel but the rifle barely moves.

The 1895 is a browning 30-06. I love that rifle!
