Another Range Report
Another Range Report
I put this 18" AR together out of sheer boredom...It's a Palmetto .223 Wylde 1:7 Upper and a DSA lower...it has a LaRue 2-Stage Match trigger, A Burris 1-4 AR 223 Optic in a QD P.E.P.R. mount and a muzzle brake of unknown origin.....
The back-up sights are completely superfluous but I had them laying around...
Took advantage of my time in Kansas to function check the thing and get it zeroed..
Loaded it up with some 60 grain Hornady V-Max stuff I loaded a few years back and ran a target out to 50 yards and was surprised to find it on paper during the function check...Moved it out to 100 yards and 4 rounds later we were shooting Sub MOA groups...
I was questioning the wisdom if installing a brake on a .223, but ended up being quite pleased with the results...and the adjustable stock was quite nice as well...

The 1874 Sharps...The gun that made the west safe for Winchester
Re: Another Range Report
Nice looking rifle

Re: Another Range Report
Sub MOA out of a spare parts gun? Well done.

ALL rifles need brakes.

Nicely done, I like that bench too.

Re: Another Range Report
No, I enjoy watching the impact. Ain’t gonna happen without a brake.

Re: Another Range Report
I enjoy making the impact. If I miss, I can see where the dust kicks up here in Arizona. Brakes are too loud, and I've been around firearms and jet aircraft my entire life...
No good deed goes unpunished.
Re: Another Range Report
I love brakes. And suppressors.
