Nice Paul
Congratulations to her.
Looks like a good one to cull with some of those others you posted running around.

Her Ruger Compact 308, My handloads of125gr Sierra Tipped Matchking, Factory primed LC18 case, 40gr H4895. ~80yards, facing her, shot in the neck DRT
The 125 works well in reduced loads and neck shots, I wouldn't recommend for body shots though or in full power loads. It's quite "soft"
Hodgdon's listed starting load with Sierra 125gr is 45gr and their "youth data" with 125 NBT is 38gr

Re: Hunting Pictures Thread
Doing the annual NYE hunting weekend. Last night was a spotlight varmint hunt with the kiddo running the CZ scout 22LR with Primary Arms red dot and the new 25 round ‘stendo mag that Santa left him, while I ran the spotlight. Ended up with one jackrabbit, one ringtail cat, and one raccoon.
Also had one bright orange moon.
And now we are in the blind seeing if any whitetail or axis make the mistake of coming in

Re: Hunting Pictures Thread
Got skunked. Lots of deer moving through before legal shooting light, but as soon as the sun came up… nothing.
Still better than anything else I could have been doing this morning

Re: Hunting Pictures Thread
So it pops out into the field. First shot...
244 yards. Clean miss.
It runs a circle or two, runs towards me. heads back to the fence. Stops. Facing head left quartering pretty hard. I shoot, get blinded by 18.2 grains of H110 from a 9" barrel. See it hop the fence. Found blood, but not much. Only had one dying flashlight on me, almost just called it till the next day. Shined the light around and saw the white belly.
.308 Castrado (.300 black out) with a Barnes 110 TAC TX.
1700 FPS estimated impact velocity. Took out half the liver, and some lungs. Not a ton of internal damage. Ran 20-ish yards.

I always look half retarded when I smile, so I may as well do a poopy face.

Look for comedian Shane Gillis’s bit about visiting George Washington’s home during Covid if you can make that face when you smile

Took a friend of Chiro’s out to thin pigs last night. First time hunting pigs at night, thermal hunting. He did well! Great hunter, for a Yankee.

Bullet path from the last deer I shot. On the back view, entrance is on the left. In the gut side view entendres is on the right.
A little farther back than I wanted, but I can’t complain.
