So not to hijack this but Cimarron cancelled my order for the sight!!! Asswipes sent me no email and no explanation. So F them, I decided to order the sight from eBay (the Browning, the guy gave me an offer I couldn't refuse)) and I'll find the screws for it. Should be here this week!

Nice! On the new sight, screw those monkeys for canceling your order!Wambli Ska wrote: ↑Sun Dec 28, 2025 6:34 pm So not to hijack this but Cimarron cancelled my order for the sight!!! Can't wait to give it a go!

Well I fit the butt plate, it’s not perfect but it’s good for me. Looks a hell of a lot better!

Re: 1885 low wall in 22 K Hornet.
The story continues. I have the sights sorted out. It shoots a little high, about a foot at 100 yards, with the sights as they were. i put a taller sight insert into the globe and it should be about right. The surprise was the load! That is a 52 grain Speer hp seated to the base of the neck and the bullet is 3 thousands off the lands! It should be going around 2500 fps and under 30000psi. It’s a wicked looking little cartridge. I can’t wait to hit the range again. Oh and S&B brass has a tiny flash hole in the case. I bought some factory ammo cheap and was going to use the brass but the decapping pin was pulled out of the pin stem in the die 3 times in 3 cases and the last one bent! Also out of 40 rounds I lost 4 cases to cracks while fire forming and not one lost with Hornady brass. So S&B brass is a no go!

Good the hornady brass is working.
The Privi IIRC is already annealed from the factory.

It looks so big with Andy shooting.....
Re: 1885 low wall in 22 K Hornet.
Yeah it’s kinda comically long when I’m shooting, I was thinking about cutting it down but the tang is too long I’d have to cut it down… not sure I want to cut the tang to fit the butt plate..
