Went to Costco today to stock up on crap for the new house so we’re a little tired of shopping, carting heavy boxes around, unpacking, organizing etc….
So we just picked our favorite Costco snack, put on a movie and had it for dinner. Did you know that this tray is only 2 servings

Cilantro is like perfume: it should be discovered not announced.
I dig it, but don’t need handfuls.

It’s a flavor I grew up with on the island. My grandma used to grow it with another similar tasting herb, Culantro, right in her backyard. She used it in her beans and other dishes and it brings back memories of her cutting it right off the plants and chopping it to go on our food

Not when it tastes like soap it isn't
Next time you'd normally add cilantro, run about 1/4 bar of ivory soap over a box grater into it instead, calling it cilantro. I bet you'll change your tune about how great it is.

This was a sow. Didn’t smell like a skunk, so we tried it.
Jay seasoned and marinated it. Froze it and then, when thawed, wrapped it in bacon and smoked it. We chopped it up and finished it on the griddle with jalapeño & onions. It was awesome!
The tenders wrapped in bacon were the best I’ve ever had!
Jalapeño/Heart/Macon Popper was amazing as well!

Just about anything is edible if it’s done right…

If you didn’t know it was javelina, you wouldn’t know.. it’s was pretty good, if I do say so..
Good food and good friends..
Now, I’m not much of a heart guy… that heart was good!.. and the tenter loins were better. The rest just kinda fell into place. I’ll cook javelina again. As long as it doesn’t smell like skunk…
