I have my dads Spanish made 12ga SxS. He bought it at a LGS in the late 80s or early 90s. I was with him when he bought it. Can’t remember exactly when it was.
Not long after he bought it, we were hunting dove on the river. He handed it to me so he could take a leak. A pair of dove were flying down the river bank WAY out there. Messing around, I swung my dads shotgun on them. Just as he was telling me they were too far, BANG! I shot and the lead dove fell..
I came back with a smart ass comment along the lines of, “well, why did that dove just fall then?” Never forget that memory.
