You make a smaller target as well,
Kind of like those reduced targets.

Makes life easier for you though, your enemy will calculate you as being further away than you actually are, and overshoot you

I AM being nice to him.

I guarantee at any distance beyond PBR, he'd be a LOT harder to hit than I am.

Him, vs the literal "broad side of a barn"

Well it makes pretty little cases! The scope set up is not going to work, but I knew that going in. I lost 2 cases during fire forming. 10% loss isn’t bad… can’t wait to get this one dialed in, first step complete, it works.

They are absolutely pretty little cases. I wonder if Starline would do better fire forming? Their brass is pretty strong.

The S&B hornet brass seemed quite susceptible to cracking.
Even in a standard hornet chamber.
PPU hornet brass is actually among if not the best

I know their (PPU/ Prvi Partizan) 223 and 7.5x55 Swiss brass both seem to be rather soft

Even though you were fire forming, how did it shoot?

ZERO RECOIL! Decent trigger. Scope was out of elevation to the tune of a foot or so, was windy (like blow target stands over windy) and low angle sun caused “white out” in my scope because of time of year and shooting directly south. In short. Was hitting an12” steel plate at 100 pretty darn well!!!🤣

I got to digging around in the “pile of cool stuff” and I have a Lyman 17a in a euro dovetail, and a newish marbles tang for a 1885. I think I may just put irons on it and have a great 200 yard rifle. Clean, light, simple and period correct. Hmmmm new direction.

VERY good direction. The .22 Hornet has never been a long distance affair anyway, basically a short range varmint gun. At 200-300 yards this will be a slam dunk hit producer on steel. Very satisfying...
