Oh man that would make a fabulous 30-30!!! But I bet it’s too big too. A 32-20, hornet, 357, hornet, 327 federal, hornet or some other little cartridge. Ooo 218 bee!!

It may be able to. The French MAS (can't remember exactly which one) rifle has a 16mm tenon which alot of people rechamber to 308 Winchester.

I maybe wrong, and know absolutely squat about these rifles, both original and this kit, but from what I'm reading online this might be their miniature rifle kit that was meant for rimfire chamberings. I didn't even look at the firing pin location yet (if its been drilled already.) But dont freak out just yet.

Okay, looks like its popular in 22 Hornet, but thats a 49k psi round, so you'd likely be fine to do it in something like 32-20, 38 special and some other comparable chamberings.

It's hard to find direct information on the kit. I'm certain about it being for the rimfire or 22 Hornet but I'm finding mixed info on whether or not it needs to be hardened. Apparently they either are or were from unfinished castings, but this receiver looks pretty well finished and has the threads machined unlike the ones that were said to need hardened.

That would be slick. I'm a fan of damn near every. 32 caliber cartridge anyways, so ill be happy no matter what

Is the firing pin set up for CF or Rimfire?

I’m warming up to the .32 H&R idea quickly

I'm not 100% until I get back to the shop tomorrow, but the diagram in your pic on page 2 of this thread appears to show a centerfire firing pin configuration.

A 32 mag would be sweet!!

I can pair it with either a Ruger SS or I just realized the I could get a Cimarron Lightning with a 5.5” barrel with both a 32-20 and a 32 H&R cylinder and kill two birds with one stone!!! AND I already have NICE leather for that gun

A 32-20 in a standard size SAA is a thing of beauty. The lightning is a 38special pressure level pistol the standard SAA is a 357 pressure level gun….

I get it but I have 3 standard sized SAAs in .357 mag already so another in 32-20 seems kind’a redundant. Actually I find myself with more SAAs than I ever wanted or needed now that they are all in the open for me to realize what I actually have.

Now a small framed .32H&R would be different from anything I own and one of my granddaughter will end up with this rifle and handgun combo when I croak. Actually it’ll be 3 guns because since the Cimarron has a .32 H&R AND the 32-20 cylinders I’ll throw in my vintage Marlin ‘94 in 32-20 into the “set”.

I'm gonna come down on the side of simple logistics.

.357 Mag.

I load for a weird, blown-out .32-20 (known in some circles as a .310 Cadet Magnum) in a Martini Cadet. It shoots so well I'm loathe to do anything to it, but if I could wave a magic wand and turn it into something I didn't have to meticulously monitor the trajectory of my ejecting cases on, I'd do it YESTERDAY.

Ain't NOTHING special about the .32's except the price of feeding and the challenge of finding, and when you get to shooting it at stuff, a hole is a hole.

And then you'd have a sweet lightweight stalking rifle with some legitimate medium game killin' cred, that matches what you've likely got on your hip.

Typically the hardening process causes warpage so they leave things a bit smaller for hand fitment but everything seems to fit really really nicely.

Well that’s awesome! I wonder if that’s what the “H” on the receiver face is for.

That small tenon and receiver isnt going to work with anything other than what was previously mentioned yesterday. I know that's not what you were originally going for but it'll still be a neat little rifle nonetheless.

Oh I’m quite Ok with it. I just wondered what all the options were. So now I’m really thinking .32 H&R might be the ticket for a cool little walkabout rifle. Maybe a 20” tapered octagon tube? Or half octagon, half round? Is the forend inleted at all?
