Virtually all of the equipment that groundpounders carry weights less now from socks, to MRE's, to entrenching tools so the total load out has not increased so any slight increase, even if it exists, is insignificant.Gene L wrote: ↑Wed Dec 13, 2023 8:29 pm Most of my patrols were on foot; first in the rice paddies during rainy season where armored patrols couldn't go, and then in the jungle where it was so thick as to reduce vision for a track as to maybe 10 yards. As for Forgotten Weapons, Ian had an actual XM 7 rifle and I trust his report. I mean, why would he lie? Look it up. He liked the weapon with all the resources it had.
